Oh wow I waited way too long for this

Halsey HFK DLX Listening Party

This is one of my favorite albums ever, this and Manic are my favorites of hers, saw her live for this tour also and she is amazing! Also you should check out the stripped version of Eyes Closed on YouTube it feels like a different song the way she sings it and it's beautiful

Cassie R. (Indigo)

I hope you react to her music videos (in order pls!), and some droplets! I feel like you should do one video watching the whole era, but like make it from beginning to end! It’d be amazing! Thank you sm for this 💙💙💙💙💙

You mentioned something about liking the 80's vibe. You should definitely check out The Midnight! His voice is INSANE and the music is VERY vibey (is that a word? lol). It makes you want to get in an old corvette with the top down and drive all the way to the beach with the wind in your hair. I would be happy if you reacted to any of their albums, but my fav ones are the last 2 they have put out which are Kids and Monsters. Nocturnal is another fantastic one that I would love to see you do. Gunship and Trevor Something are other artists that are in that genre so I would also love to see that as well. Trevor Something is a bit out there but he's so fucking amazing. I recommend his latest album and the extra tracks that he has put out like Ghost and You Are My Obsession, those have AMAZING videos that go with them. I just fucking LOVE the synthwave/retro genre that is happening right now and I know you would absolutely love it as well. <3

This album is such a vibe. You’re a vibe. I am so glad you finally listened to this.

Drew

Naomi

I came to say this too. I think he actually had already created the music and they were listening to it and he was kinda humming though it and halsey said "it sounded like he said eyes closed" ill try and find the link. But good catch Steven!

Okay, Fran 💯 FACTS

Hfk is basically inspired by Romeo and Juliet, but inverted (like she is Romeo), with two opposite 'houses' and star crossed lovers and stuff. The whole storyline h created for this album was so so well done and well planned that the whole era was an experience in itself. You should check the music videos too, so you could understand the whole story, the right order would be: now or never, sorry, bad at love (check the angelus cut version of that one), alone and strangers (strangers is kind of a prequel, so it should go first, but now or never introduces the story and plot better so it's easier to understand if you watch that one first). There's also an amazing interview she did with Zane Lowe where she invited Baz Luhrmann as he (at least his version of Romeo and Juliet) was the main inspiration for this concept album specially aesthetic wise. in that interview she explains how she created the hfk universe. it was amazing in itself, I mean, she truly went all out creating that whole universe (like the merch, the exclusive events for fans, the tour, the houses, the creative ways of promoting the album, it seriously was her best era yet)

this was suuuuch a joy to watch!! HFK is one of my favourite albums ever. it really feels amazing that Halsey can write such personal songs, with a lot of specific details, yet you're still able to relate them to parts of your life or how you're feeling. It's exactly like someone telling a story of an experience they had and being able to deeply connect with it despite not going through the exact thing. I also went to the HFK tour, i think you will definitely love some good quality live versions!! Maybe in your personal time you can check out some of the longer interviews she did about this, she really goes in depth about her thought process and the story she (re)created

Grace

Able did help her write eyes closed and i think he also help her produce the track

Adamari

yess heaven in hiding is one of my favorite Halsey songs by far. you should consider checking out the music videos from this album, they are all amazing and help show the storyline of the album too.
