It’s April!! Sorry I’ve been so quiet, here’s what I’ve been up to!

hiya! so sorry I've been so quiet lately. I've been up to a lot behind the scenes. I have so much planned for these upcoming months that it's a little overwhelming. but exciting! with black fae day coming up right around my birthday, I've been planning a lot. plus I've been collaborating with some amazing brands! let me just get you guys updated, I can't wait to share what I have planned.

black fae day is only a month away and I cannot control my excitement! I'll be attending the black fae day's fairytale gala in Georgia this May 15th (my birthday!!) and I'm planning on going all out. I'll be dressed as a dark celestial time princess! forest girl clothing sent me their entire celestial fashion line and it's absolutely beautiful.

As a way to celebrate, I organized a black fae day meetup right here in my city and it was so much fun! I had a blast laughing and playing games with friends and fellow fae. it just makes me happier to be a part of the black fae day community. I've been dealing with a chronic case of imposter syndrome. so laughing and hanging out with local fae really helped me. connecting with so many amazing creatives really helped motivate me! it was seriously the push I needed. 

fae foods! new recipes and dishes every weekend (starting April 15th)

so sorry for the lack of recipes. I've been experimenting a lot with different dishes and recipes, and have a bunch of delicious recipes that I made from scratch. it's just I would be so in the zone while cooking, that I never write the recipes down! but now I cant wait to show you what recipes I have in store. every weekend will be fae foods weekends! where I'll share one of my favorite recipes with you all. so look out for the delish pancake recipe I'll be posting this weekend. 

bookstore window displays 

my bookstore has been a little behind our window display schedule for a few weeks. (like I said things have been pretty hectic lately!) I just got done with our poetry window (i made it into a poet-tree forest!) my next window is for black fae day. I'm planning on wearing my elf ears for this window and vlogging the progress. since the fairytale gala is land vs sea-themed, ill make the window the same way. it'll be highlighting black fantasy authors for the month of May! I'm going to put my all into this window, so I cant wait to see how it turns out.
