2026-01-17 05:25:29 +0000 UTCIn my opinion, the nuclear bomb Carol had delivered to her driveway isn't just a potential destruction mechanism for the transmission devise the Others are building to spread the RNA virus across the galaxy, it's a deterrent, preventing the Others even approaching her and Manousos. The Others left Albuquerque when Carol almost killed Zosia with sodium thiopental, and when Manousos experimented on one of them to try to figure out how radio frequencies correlated to their "psychic glue". The nuclear bomb in Carol's driveway is a literally the nuclear option. Carol's thinking is probably that the nuke buys her and Manousos more time to reverse the joining because the Others won't put themselves in danger while it is there.
