Good old days 🤗

A classic for sure

Saw this movie on HBO on its opening showing and I have loved it ever since, I was 9 and I didn't "get" a lot of it but I always knew that I would one day. Now that I am a father of four kids with all the ups and downs as the Grandma was saying, I "get" it. On a lighter note thanks to Sam for pointing out the "before they cum" line I never noticed it....lol

There were two directors who thrived in the 80s/90s who made absolute classics. Rob Reiner and Ron Howard. While Rob Reiner was releasing When Harry Met Sally... this was Ron Howard's movie that year. Neither of these directors get the credit they deserve. So often when you come across one of these gems, always look at who the director was, and then go make sure you've seen everything they made in those two decades and you'll get a lot of these feels.

I always say Apollo 13 is probably Ron Howard's best movie, but this is my favorite Ron Howard movie, btw he still has some great ones you haven't seen yet, like "Gung Ho", that movie is so underrated, or "Far and Away", bad Irish accents from Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, but still a fun movie. Also, did you notice how good the child actor who played Gary was? Leaf Phoenix, wonder what ever happened to him... And it was so fun watching this reaction with you guys, relatively new parents, I am not a parent, just the weird fun bachelor Uncle Buck, but I've always loved this movie and it was a lot of fun to hear your perspective.

If you're looking for another "they don't make them like this anymore" movie, I recommend "Return to Me". It stars David Duchovny and Minnie Driver, plus the great Bonnie Hunt wrote, directed, and costars.

Love this underrated movie. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. They packed a lot into it. It's relatable for many parents, and I'm glad you got to see it at this point in your family's life. Humorous, yet thought-provoking. Great script, great cast. And with all the issues and challenges presented, the writers and director didn't attempt to solve them all perfectly with a neat little bow on top. As with most things... you just keep plugging away and do your best. "Let everything happen to you, Beauty and Terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final." Rainer Maria Rilke

That was such an enjoyable watch and reaction, just about my favourite reaction on the channel, the entire year. The look of sheer panic on Daniels face, just for a second, when Sam said,in the wrap up ''I don't think i have ever said the on the channel before'' His face was like ''jesus what the hell is she about to say“😂 We got a reaction of ''Three Men and a Baby (1987)'' just before baby Schmitt was born, hopefully we can pencil in a reaction of the sequel ''Three Men and a Little Lady (1990)'' for 2026
