While this is an Oversimplified Roadmap, It might help you identify where are right now.
The upper half of the image reflects ALL the internal work for
-Porting
-Updating
All the existing content in Devious Valley.
For the Items alone, it took 12 real work hours. (Divided in 3 days).
Events is the last and biggest part of all the updating (Since it needs parts of all the previous updated areas, like npcs, maps and items.)
-------------------------------------
On the lower half, its the planned new content (Might be more or equal.)
-Since we can now add new sounds/music samples instead of replacing them, I can now continue my started work of adding "immersive sounds" for the existing and new scenes.
-Npcs : Did I told you that I want to add a new town?.
Npcs don´t need to be super defined. I´ll be adding them little by little, since they do require a lot of effort and creativity to make.
-New Maps, New places to explore and have fun, ofc.
-New Questlines and Events: This is self explanatory. There will need the farmer to "Sign" some contracts here and there, so his life around the valley and the new town can change. (I´ll reserve the actual definition of the consecuences ;)
-I would love to release the content around October. But is better to release it "When its done".
------------------------------------------
As I have said before, with Stardew 1.6, modding became more powerful, not more easy.
Been banging my head a few times, since some of the critical features of my mod, doesn't have clear examples on the new implementation. So it has been a lot of trial and error, and it still is (Since I am yet to figure out how the machines and the new events work).
I do take some breaks from time to time, since this should qualify as making a whole Game (Work-wise).
"Porting 110 items to the new format can break a man" -Undare
---------------------------------------------
I must confess...
The whole issue with porting/updating aside from the monotony, is that "You are not creating new things".
As an artist, this is quite depressing and crippling sometimes.
"I have already did this, why do i need to re-do it again? (aka=re-wrtting)"
Well, I do have a pretty solid base with ALL the previous work have made for the mod, so it is only natural and exciting to build above that fundation.
All the new modding tools and posibilities keep me exciting and going. And ofc, the thought of sharing all that work with you.
But let me draw the line.....
If Stardew gets another ModApocalypse-like update.... I´ll just quit modding.... You Won Concerned Ape! You broke me!.... :sadCatCry:
I WANT TO CREATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
uff... that felt better.
See you around with more updates!
(You can check in depth WIPs on my Discord. On the WIP-channel)
Have a nice day!
