Tftc! Wonderful to explore this aspect of the world in more depth, the magic and systems have been super interesting in both this and Ar'Kendrithyst. Page 1: Perhaps it was overkill to keep doing that sort of misdirection going. -> keep that sort of misdirection going. Page 3: This place was built upon orichalcum, just like the divine probably realms, -> probably just like the divine realms, (unless there's something else going on in this statement) Page 44: Isoko, Mark, and Sally were all talking about something that Eliot knew should be a part of, -> Elliot knew he should

2026-02-15 07:24:47 +0000 UTCI really like the ways in which Mark and Erick are similar. There should be more stories about people helping people. Also as a big believer in the open source philosophy, Mark's wish for knowledge that is more free resonates with me. The situation really is fucked up. Thanks for the chapter! "Perhaps it was overkill to keep doing that sort of misdirection going." Either "doing" or "going" needs to be removed. "Mark’s current protections might be as simple as choosing to meditate outside of protections today" This phrasing is confusing, I'm not sure what is actually meant. "and Mark had kinda glazed over about all of that." This phrasing seems off, like you're mixing up some phrases

2026-02-14 23:18:51 +0000 UTCNo, because the System still keeps them away. The important part of that was that knowing of them is touching their souls, somewhat indirectly, and that lets them corrupt you. At least, that's how I understood it.

2026-02-14 23:02:27 +0000 UTCWait, so if what Mark realizes about Outsiders and why Castellan Fire works on them is true, then does that imply that their encounter with Nobody Important has contaminated everything in that way? I have so many questions!

2026-02-14 21:54:05 +0000 UTCSometimes Mark really does feel like a golden retriever having a nice walk through the forest of knowledge, only to stop and pick up a random grenade every once in a while, and it's everyone elses problem to figure out what to do with the growing pile of highly explosive information Mark leaves in his wake. Very good chapter, I cannot wait for the next one!
