If I had moved to North Carolina on time instead of being delayed by medical stuff then I would have been caught up in those storms that hit the Asheville area.
At least several neighboring houses are gone, as is half of the town that I planned on moving to. My house up there might have been washed away. The bridge to the house certainly was, as were several other houses on the street. I am devastated and trying to stay positive. I'm so worried about all of my neighbors up there.
But I'm still in Florida with a surgery scheduled for Tuesday.
No chapter next week!
