Lo-Fi Station Mod

XML Injector by SCUMBUMBO
I love listening to lo-fi music, so I figured I'd create a mod for my Sims to enjoy as well! This mod adds a lo-fi station to the game; perfect for studying, reading, or just vibing to. It is also Base Game Compatible. The Lo-Fi station is currently available on:
β’ Stereos
β’ Smart speakers
β’ Earbuds (requires the Fitness Stuff Pack)
I may add it to other objects such as the hot tub, wall stereos, and water scooters in a future update.
There are seven (7) lo-fi songs that come with the station. Adding a station to the game, takes up a lot of space, so I only added seven to consider everyone's PCs. The songs should play between 2-4 minutes each.
This mod will function as a regular station, meaning Sims will be able to pick Lo-Fi as their preference in CAS and Sims will get the buffs that normally appear in game based on their love or hate for lo-fi.
NOTE: The music used in this mod are royalty free. Credit goes to the creators on Pixabay.
Installation:
Unzip the folder and place both CORE and TUNINGS files in your mods folder. (no more than one subfolder deep).
Enjoy and happy vibing! β‘

2025-02-23 20:51:27 +0000 UTCThat's fine I just wasn't sure if this was something that had to be added to every stereo in the game or if it was something that showed up in every stereo no matter what or how new, I wasn't sure how it worked since I'm not knowledgeable in technical areas of mods I'm more of a CC creator lol

2025-02-13 07:27:59 +0000 UTCHey hun, I added the station to a few more stereos. Also, I don't always get packs right away, so it may be some time before a certain radio/stereo is updated.

2025-02-12 20:59:14 +0000 UTCHey hun, I'm late with responding to this but the mod is okay. Just because it appears on a BE report isn't always a sign of it being broken. Better Exceptions is strict and will pick up on/flag slight structure differences too. (even if a letter is different lol). But I changed that, so you shouldn't get that on your report anymore. π€

2024-12-06 22:14:43 +0000 UTCHi, hun this is nothing to worry about. I just tested and the mod works fine with no exceptions. The gameplay functionality is in tact. It may have flagged it for you for a few different reasons: itβs a false positive, sometimes minor things like this are unnecessarily flagged; make sure your game is updated; also EA can be strict sometimes when it comes to tunings. If youβre using the Better Exceptions mod sometimes it often flags tuning quirks or things that may not be problems or doesnβt fit into EAβs code. Also, the next time come to my discord with the exceptions log. Thatβs where I mainly do mod support.

2024-12-05 17:14:55 +0000 UTCHi I received an exceptions error report on this mod, I'll copy and paste what it says. It still showed up on the radio but never tried the station I thought I should let you know. b\ellesimsworld_LofiStationMod\ellesimsworld_LofiStation_CORE.packageShow Tuning Invalid Tuning ellesimsworld:stereo_listen_lofi | Incorrectly matched tuning types found in tuning for enabled in Instance: 16608061112024705396 (ellesimsworld:stereo_listen_lofi), Types.INTERACTION. 2024-11-26 04:05:27 +0000 UTCHi hun, the mod is not broken and currently up to date. It was recently tested. Remember, UI Exception reports are not always 100% accurate in its diagnoses. On top of that, the Lo-Fi mod in itself is not a trait mod. Even though, it has a preference you can choose in CAS, that is working fine, it mainly focuses on music. If you are having issues in game (which shouldnβt be the case), try removing the mod and reinstalling it.
elle.
2024-11-26 04:04:45 +0000 UTCHello, how are you? Thank you so much for this mod! I find that loft music relaxes me and helps me balance my mental health so thank you again.

2024-11-25 05:21:45 +0000 UTCHi hun, a mod like that would most likely need a custom animation. (Which I donβt know how to create lol). So Iβd say to present the idea to a creator who deals directly with that. Maybe they will be willing. π€
