Quest Game Patreon Poll June 2025
Added 2025-06-02 01:36:59 +0000 UTCHello all! The Influencer tier subscribers have come back with eight choices for my next Quest game, following in the trail of Hitmare, and now you all have a chance to vote on which one I will be doing. You have until Friday night to vote. I will be taking a week off comms to work on this week after next, so the week of the 16th.
The poll options are below, but I'll give a better overview of them here:
1. Glamour Gals vs Reality Check (Myra) superheroine game. Assign supergirls to the correct challenges as you battle against Reality Check, and failure means losing them from the team. If you look at my Patreon or FA banner, you'll see the Glamour Gals, as those are my superheroine team; Reality Check has featured in a few fics. The game will be based on making it through a series of challenges tailored to certain girls. Sending those woefully unequipped will lead to their untimely and distinctly unheroic ends. The girls are both the number of lives, and losing one leaves you less equipped for specific events, causing a cascade of failures and ultimately leading to a Game Over. Perhaps inspired by SCALE, if you're familiar.
2. A dialogue-based heist game where you play a pony thief in Dragonlord Ember's castle. I envision it being a bit like Ace Attorney Part 2, where gathering information is combined with navigating conversations. Your goal is to steal the Bloodstone Sceptre while using a disguise as an ambassador. Diplomatic immunity only goes so far, still, when you're surrounded by massive dragons who are all too willing to utterly annihilate you, whether they know you're in disguise or not.
3. An end-collection, trap-type game where you play as Sly Cooper. The idea is that there are multiple ways to win and lose as you try to set up Inspector Carmelita in a museum packed with dangerous antiquities, which are happy to bring about a bad end for either one of you or both. Each run would be short, but there would still be puzzle elements to get the 'good ends' and trap Carmelita.
4. A Reign-inspired negotiation game. You play Celestia at a summit, and you have to carefully navigate diplomacy with other leaders using the right dialogue prompts or meet a stinky end. Raven is there to help guide each encounter. She will give a dossier of things to say and what to avoid, and falling for traps means a stinky and sudden end to your reign as Princess.
5. Mizutamari, the Samurai Wolf, is going to save the Shogun's daughter. Many Samurai are trying to do the same, and many have failed already. She has been imprisoned by a group of villains within a tower, and the only way to the top is to fight and defeat each of the mighty, skilled and stinky warriors until she reaches the top. A duel-heavy combat puzzle game around trying to beat your opponents, every stinky end a learning opportunity for our cursed respawning Samurai.
6. Starlight Glimmer finds out the 4 Pony Princesses of Equestria are about to be assassinated! She rushes to each one in turn and has moments to turn the Princess' squishy end around and make sure someone else bears the brunt of the booty. Four 'good' ends and Four 'bad' ends, at least, with maybe some Glimmer failures too, sort of like the Time Wolf Ancestor scenes, but without the lead-in to keep it from becoming too large a project.
7. Escape from Griffonstone. A pony slave, like in the Tempest Shadow fic, escapes her binds and tries to make it out of Griffonstone unsquashed. Stealthy puzzle solving in a more linear adventure with a lot of bad ends from big Griffons and maybe having to screw over other ponies to make it out three dimensional.
8. A Pokémon-based adventure where we play as an anthro tribal Pokegirl in a world full of feral Pokémon. Your sister has gone missing, so you descend into the wilds to try to find her. Puzzles that involve sidestepping certain Pokémon and advancing to find your sister without ending up squashed, eaten or worse by big Pokémon.
