Oh and on the topic of comfort games, I think mine is Trackmania. That's my fidget game. I just wish I had a portable setup for that game instead of relying on my pc.

2024-05-13 15:46:24 +0000 UTCHmmm that's interesting. I always thought that skate 3 hard-core mode was the only way to get back to the skate 2 feel. Yet I never played them back to back so my memory is probably failing me here. All of this to say that if hard-core mode is the selling point, to me it always felt like skate 2 was requiring just as much precision. But the more I think about it the more I think I just much preferred the map and overall style. As you say, the sanitized menu and aesthetic of skate 3 were really off-putting. When I go back to Skate I always boot up the second one. But anyway! Was a fun episode to listen to as always, cheers!

It's never come super naturally to me and it takes a lot of commitment, but it's rewarding to slowly feel yourself get better at it. I find it most fun to just noodle around on a tiny quarter pipe, so if you have a local park with one I'd start there, even before trying to ollie

The songs are etched into my mind in 3 but I reckon the soundtrack ranking probably goes 2-1-3 for me. 1 and 2 have massive highs and lows, 3 is consistently just ok to me. Love that they have that Canned Heat song in there though lol. I should've talked more about it tho I agree. cheers for listening
