Getting started

First of all, huge thank you to everyone that joined over the last month to support the final stretch of My Chair - and all 26 of you that purchased the early cut. I really appreciate it.
I am finally getting started with an extremely talented and genius pianist to score the damn thing. His name is Monty Willoughby and he's kicking ass... Over the last couple weeks we've been going back and forth trying to capture the particular sound I'm looking for. My loose deadline is August 1st and it's coming up fast. We'll see what happens.
In other news, I'm already getting started on a short little thing - the portrait GIF above is just the beginning of my long, stupid and painstaking process. I'm trying to think smaller steps until I uncover the next big thing. Also trying to blend my sense of humor with the experimental stop motion, which I think was somewhat lost in the latest project.
In other other news, I was deactivated on Instagram about a week ago. I had always kind of expected it, but not for the reason they gave me - which I will not repeat here because of how heinous an accusation it is. Apparently, since early June, hundreds of thousands of users were wrongfully deactivated for this same reason. Still, knowing that doesn't make me feel any less disgusted. Now I live in appeal hell, sending 10 or more emails to Instagram a day. I even emailed Mark Zuckerberg.
I went on that big Instagram/Tik Tok push earlier this year to, eventually, advertise My Chair. And it was working! I was blowing up on there!!! Just days after I posted the teaser I was banned... This is just one of God's trials, I guess. Victory can't come easy.
I got ahold of my dad's little Sony camcorder and also ordered a wired shutter clicker that works with Thomas Mammoth's camera... Those will be my tools in the meantime while mine gets repaired. Made possible by your support!!!

I love your sense of humor most of all, but your restraint from it was foundational for My Chair. It made the subtle humor more pronounced. The way you were yelling and grumbling at the chair was fittingly absurd for that 3 Stooges vibe or whatever you were going for. This short is probably the best thing you've ever done, don't kid yourself!

I know you said the early cut didn't suffer much from the lack of a score, but I've been holding myself to experience it for the first time when it's complete. And what you've been going through wih this social media stuff really sucks... I hope you get this worked out soon so you can focus on your art instead.
