Lesson goes LIVE: March 15th at 5pm Oslo time π«
In the session we're gonna go through a categorical step-by-step monochromatic underpainting. As I see it this is the perfect way to start a Portrait if you need to generate a positive outcome. By that I mean if it's a commission, if it matters that you get the likeness spot on, if it needs to turn out right- monochromatic underpainting is the way to go.
To do this, you're going to need just a few materials. I suggest an acrylic primed linen that has a thin imprimatura (wash) in a generally warm colour like raw umber or warm sepia. After that, a few synthetic brushes, a little bit of limnseed oil, and Q-TIPS π« )don't forget the Q-TIPS!)
We have worked in this style a few times before so I wanted to take this opportunity to make a definitive lesson that will encompass everything you need to know about this subject.
