Block In Bootcamp, Searching Lines (updated)

In this lesson we are going to maintenance skills that, despite not being in the top 3 (structure, proportion, likeness), are super important. We are going to draw using searching lines.

This approach will focus on improving 2 drawing skills. 1st it will help to loosen up your application of initial lines. 2nd, because of the nature of this approach, you will be incentivized to keep your hand "light." There will be minimal use of the eraser so once the lines are on the paper they will mostly stay in place.

Ideally yes- the lines will align. However, the effect of this not happening are minimal and much drawing can be done well without this being taken into consideration.

Myself thinking that one must tenir compte de la position des lignes de fuite sur l’axe Z pour trouver le point de fuite.

love it. if i may make an observation: the hard shadow over the paper while you're drawing is very distracting :)

Ariane

Loved watching this process! No erasing creates such a sketcherly look.

90 will do just fine.

I have been using the Strathmore 400 80lb drawing paper. I want to order the Stonehenge but it looks like the 120lb is out of stock at Blick. Is the 90lb Stonehenge drawing paper better than the Strathmore or should I wait on the 120lb?

Derek Harris

Not for all of them.

Is there a way to go back and watch the full live streams later? With the critique and all?

Graphite for this one Caroline! :)

Will you be using graphite or vine charcoal? Thanks
