Cast painting is the lesson that marks the transition from a students education in drawing to the beginning of their painting career.
In part 1 you are going to learn about transfer drawing. A preparatory stage from which you will gain some knowledge about the structure of your subject while establishing the parameters of your underpainting block in.

2023-01-23 17:18:31 +0000 UTCI have done this but only when painting on paper. Made a full value drawing and then sealed it with PVA glue before painting onto it. Was a very satisfying process.

2022-06-12 08:22:20 +0000 UTCHello Stephen - have you ever (after transfer onto linen canvas, gone in and worked more detail into the transferred drawing? eg. I do an accurate drawing transfer- then go in and work up the values on the drawing in more elaborate detail - then fix the drawing (spectrafix) and then tone..etc.?
