Tonari no Youkai-san (13 episodes): As a SoL merchant this felt like the cure for existential crisis for me - a beautiful show about youkai co-existing with humans and finding meaning in life

2025-11-05 23:34:44 +0000 UTCApologies for being kinda basic with most suggestions Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket its 5 episodes. It's similar to Gundam Thunderbolt Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san 12 episodes. A slice of life comedy about working retail in a book store. The Big O its 26 episodes. This felt like one of the two main reason to watch Adult Swim/Toonami as a teen for me with Cowboy Bebop being #1 but you already know how good that one is. A pretty good dub. Yu Yu Hakusho 112 episodes, personally like first two seasons more, that is 66 episodes. Another classic dub as an option. If you love Hunter X Hunter I fee like this would be a hit. Tiger & Bunny 50 episodes but to be upfront i have only watched the first season and really enjoyed it when that came out. The corporate super hero stuff with Tiger being the old guard down on his luck and forced to pair up with the new young hotshot is great pairing. Personally all prefer the version with real sponsors on the super suits. Golden Kamuy 49+ episodes. it is on going with the latest season coming in sometime in 2026. But the way its able to balance the wild characters/humor and the more serious aspects of the still outrageous story. Dragon Ball 153 episodes, which I know is a lot to ask, but I honestly love its tone more than even most of Dragon Ball Z. Classic adventure comedy and fights.

2025-11-05 18:43:18 +0000 UTCNot sure if this is still where you'd like suggestions for a potential second video to be put, but if so: The Colors Within [1h40min] Yamada Naoko (K-ON, Tamako, Liz, etc...)'s latest feature film, and her first independent of a pre-existing series. Like her last series, Heike Monogatari (also phenomenal), produced at Science Saru which until Inu-Ou was Yuasa's joint. Just an incredible, beautiful, wholesome film.

Bridgerton without the horney, or some shit). but.... no Bubblegum Crisis/ Bubble Crash i get, even though they aren;t obscure; i mean someone mentioned the OG Appleseed OVA. No OG Battle Angel Alita, though {2 OVA episodes, hella short}? no one's listing it as Gunnm, right? (i am only looking at the B's so far. ALTHOUGH. i scroll down and don;t see Eizouken???? {1 season?} which is (proZd snob voice and glasses reposition The Superior Teen Girl Anime About Creatives Finding Their Place In The World?????) (compared to Bocchi The Rock which i also love and is also only one season so far?) [they have a very good DBZ Yamcha crater reference late in the season. the beach episoide. maybe start there]

2025-07-22 01:13:33 +0000 UTCLate but I must throw in Taisho Baseball Girls. Wholesome 12 episodes about girls in the Taisho era who want to go to school and play baseball instead of preparing to be housewives. Nobody has ever heard of this anime when I talk about it but I thought it was so good!
