βLong enough to hear you muttering about someone named Tess and Ren, and that someone could kiss your ass.β
She bit her lip to stop herself from laughing. He wasnβt smiling. If anything, he looked more angry than when he left. Wasnβt he supposed to be filled with endorphins after a workout? βI was just chatting with my girls.β
βYour readers?β he asked as he tugged his shirt over his head.
Her mind wiped clean as she took in the ripped body on display. If her girls could see Rex in the flesh, they wouldβ¦

Her eyes flicked from the pants that hung ridiculously low on his hips to his impatient scowl. βWhat?β
He shook his head, clearly annoyed, and stalked into the bathroom. Propped against the headboard, she had an excellent view of him as he stripped. If he wasnβt so pissy, she might have joined him for another shower and offered to scrub him down. Instead, she took in his sculpted body and when it disappeared from view, opened a document to describe that work of art in as much detail as possible for future reference.
