Looking for your feedback on our video content

Hey all - I've been taking on some early feedback on the two YouTube videos we've put out so far, and it's fair to say that we're still very green when it comes to editing and creating videos (as expected with our first ever attempts).

As is with most things I do for the website, I'm looking for your feedback on next steps.

So far, I'm thinking of the following:

Moving the videos to Patreon-only until we get start hitting our stride in terms of format and editing (allowing us to talk more freely in the meantime about things that require a subscription like projections) and posting the short segments on either TikTok or Instagram Reels.

Or, sticking with posting them on YouTube and tough it out while we improve?

I watch so much on Youtube I'll almost always vote to consolidate content there

Hey! I'm recently subscribed and I really love what you guys are doing. I'm a video-editor, and aside from the technical stuff (which will naturally improve over time), I think one big thing that would help is making the delivery feel a bit less scripted. Even if you're using ChatGPT or a written outline, try to make it sound more conversational. I think that's a big key to helping the viewers connect to the content. The growth will come -- just stay consistent and keep posting. I mostly watch your YouTube videos but posting shorter clips on other platforms could help a lot with reach. Great work overall. You guys are def onto something. I've actually got a few ideas of my own in the fantasy hoops space that I'd love to share sometime down the road. Anyways, good stuff. Keep it up!

Thanks! Yeah, we're working on a new format for the weekly stuff, so hopefully we'll find our style in a few weeks. I'm down for any and all feedback from people who work in the field. I just signed up to replayed.co to try and bring somebody in to handle the editing.

I work in video production and video marketing and agree with Charlie. Keep producing - slowly grow and improve. Fantasy content is generally not evergreen, meaning people aren’t going to be looking back at your archives in the future anyway. So keep putting things out there, that will help you discover your style, format, voice, etc. Happy to discuss more if you want to have a casual conversation about it. Good luck!
