Update: Moving, Burnout, and Audio
Added 2025-05-10 18:41:53 +0000 UTCHiya folks! It's been a while since I've wrote down one of these, so just filling you in on what I’m going through the next few months.
I’m moving out later in the summer to be closer to family, but process for that has been a headache and a half. As a result, I’ve had little to no time to work on Patreon pieces and focused more on getting commissions done.
With this going on currently and taxes last month, it’s been a hard time financially. Even when I do have time to draw, I’m having a rough time either deciding what to do or committing to the project through to the end. I think I’m currently not in the best environment or circumstances to work my best, so hoping that the new place puts me in a better spot.
So, plan going forward is to keep focusing on commissions of course, at least to clear out the queue before I take up any huge personal projects. When the chaos of the move calms down, I’ll be better off to work on more Patreon art. Any animations I complete will be treated as early access content, as long as the client gives me permission.
Another thing: audio! I’m dipping my toes into sound design. I haven’t had the software to do it for a while, but I’m learning how to use Da Vinci Pro for compositing, so might as well slap some sounds! I’ll start with going back to my favorite animations and adding sound to those as practice. Really excited for this ^^
