February 2023 Update
Added 2023-02-21 00:13:35 +0000 UTCHiya, folks!
First off, I didn't notice that this Patreon's crossed its ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Time really does fly! Thanks for sticking around! I still remember being super unsure going through with it, but I am so happy that I did. It did not, however, come without a number of challenges.
Running this for a year has been a hefty balancing act between commissions and Patreon content. I do not want to neglect either of them, so I will try to make current issues with work and life clear, and also what I have planned to address said issues.
FINANCE: I've been struggling financially for some time. I only open for commissions as a necessity to stay afloat, but it does add more work to do. Figuring out what to prioritize has been difficult, especially when you have ADHD (more on that later). To those who are waiting for their rewards and commissions, thank you so much for your patience. If the Patreon grows, this financial issue will ease up, hopefully.
HEALTH: Another issue I have been having with work is that it often comes at the price of neglecting other things I have to do, like maintaining good health. I'm not going through any major health problems. I just need better eating habits, exercise, and therapy. Having difficulty with honing on a task because of ADHD (I never took meds for it) and having a number of responsibilities on my shoulders is an overwhelming mix of stress and pressure. It feels nothing short of a miracle when I have a really productive day :), so more of those would be nice.
PATREON CONTENT: I touched on this earlier, but reward sketches are on a delay. There's also a backlog for posting more sketchbook pages and tidying up the server and the website. All of that aren't as high-priority as finishing animations and other projects that can bring in more supporters, so I hope you understand. All of those will be finished one step at a time, I assure you.
Anyway, that is all for now. I've been meaning to be clear on these issues for a while and be honest about the work it takes to keep up with demands. Thank you for understanding! Got an animation cooking up for next month, so better get back on that.
