PSA: Tier plans (post-October 2019)
Added 2019-09-12 11:11:14 +0000 UTCAfter some discussions with other content creators, I'd like to revisit the topic of Patron tiers to future-proof the system. Those changes would come into effect either at the beginning of October or at the beginning of November (after regular payments are processed to avoid double charging).
- Initiate ($ 1,5) - no changes. This tier will get mostly SFW variants of finished pictures.
- Acolyte (up from $3 to $5) - bump in monthly pledge. In return a more frequent access to sketches and WIPs. Access to polls on monthly picture ideas. This tier will receive the bulk of the content including all the NSFW and variants just as now, and is intended to be the mainstay tier for the future.
- Councillor (new, $10) - planned tier. Would allow for submitting suggestions for exclusive sketch ideas, that would then be subject to a monthly Patron vote for Acolytes and Councillors (to avoid it becoming a raffle, or a commission). Otherwise it would serve as an option for Patrons who are fine with Acolyte-level rewards, but wanted to show even more support. Planned benefits for the future of the Councillor tier would also include access to .PSD files with simple walkthroughs or organized process WIP pictures for educational purposes.
Feedback would be appreciated! Do let me know what you think, as I'd like to gauge the level of support for those planned changes. Those would stick for a longer period of time.

That is the main issue with a $10 tier, that right now I'm still more dependent on commissions for proper financial intake and that takes much of the time I would be able to spend producing extra content for higher tiers. The future might hold some goodies - if my original settings get developed enough, I can envision comics or short stories that would warrant early peeks, feedback and polling opportunities for the highest tier patrons. Or maybe pics with ludicrous amounts of variants if time allowed. But right now the "only" things on offer are regular female muscle pictures, some fanarts I enjoy doing and some worldbuilding - all, I think, perfectly reasonable at a $5 tier. The $10 will be opened up at a later date for sure, as might more expensive tiers if I have great ideas or great rewards in mind as my patron fanbase expands and allows me to switch out commission work in favor of personal and patron-based artwork.

I can't speak for others, so I'll just submit my personal view for your consideration: looking at your plans as you have them right now, I'd probably stick it out at Acolyte tier. The "probably" is me waffling between Acolyte and Councilor. I'd love to support you with a $10 pledge, but I don't have any use for educational materials given my inability to draw so much as a stick figure. That said, I'm not sure what else you could offer that doesn't tie your hands with additional work, which I 100% understand your aversion to. However you decide to move forward with this, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work, the worldbuilding especially.
