I know realistically that show games and home games are different. But I really enjoy the roleplay aspects of games too. While getting to a location or plot point is important, I love seeing characters talk and interact. I feel like character relationships feel so much more natural and strong when they're not just built on major plot events, but also those small spur of the moment interactions. Things like pranks and bits, and other roleplay things that happen in real life to normal people.

condi's characters always have familial issues

another charlie pc trope i've noticed is being/feeling like a huge failure, and working through that is a big part of his characters' arcs (also being manipulated by a higher power, which those two tropes combined definitely end up mirroring major aspects of religious trauma lmao)

i actually think condi's trope is dumbass because even though characters like jay and rolan are technically "smart" and have skills, they also have a lot of moments like rolan doing fake mushrooms or jay's "that lady bit me and i think i was into it" moment. it's definitely more obvious for characters like vyncent, ryan, and sylnan, but even his more intellectual characters are still dumbasses to me :)
