The Suckening Sneak Peaks!

Hey all,

   I am super excited to show you a few sneak peaks for The Suckening while we have this off week of content. Firstly, we uploaded a little teaser trailer, so if you haven't seen that yet, go check it out here!   

    Let's start with the visuals. The Suckening is an Audio Only podcast, so we did not record our facecams for any of it. To compensate for this, we have transcribers getting captions and transcriptions of the episodes done ahead of time, so these episodes will have transcriptions available DAY 1. Besides that, the episodes that are going public will have video available to them. For those who aren't aware, we are putting the first 5 episodes which roughly equates to the first arc of the show to the public, offset by 2 weeks from when everyone on patreon gets it. After that we will discontinue visuals and it will be audio only on Patreon. Currently, The Suckenign is expected to go for approximately 12 episodes at the moment, but that could change depending on editing decisions.  

   Lets take a look at the actual visuals now though. For the Suckening we decided to try for a more visual novel-esque look for the visuals on the video. This is a big part as to why the visuals will discontinue after the public episodes are finished, as it turns out we overlooked that this is a logistical nightmare to edit!

   Our plan is to have unique backgrounds for each location, as well as sprites for each character and important NPC. To start we have the sprites for Shilo, Emizel, Soda (The best guy), and a mysterious 4th person. You'll notice Grizzly's character is not here, this is because he wants to remain ominous until the first episode releases. We also have a few of the backgrounds we will be using as well such as ALLEY, and STREET. As well as a hideout for a certain gang of miscreants.

   While I wish I could show a clip of the visuals in episode, we are still working on that with Tizen at the moment, but I promise it will turn out banger :)

   Next we have the sound. This part has me super excited because I'll be honest; Just Roll With It has never sounded so good. WE WENT ALL OUT on making this sound just absolutely bonkers and the person we are working with to do so is so incredibly talented and professional with sound. Attached to this post is a Zip file with a few short scenes to give an idea of the level of sound effects and foley that has gone into this show. Personally I'm so incredibly stoked about it and think it's so cool.

   Also in said zip file is some short samples of some music provided to us by the ever talented Nathan Hanover. It has been such a pleasure working with him and seeing these ideas come to life, I absolutely love what we have so far for the OST, and there is still so much to be made. We haven't provided any titles or names to the tracks, but I wonder if you can guess which ones are character themes, and for who's character they're for :)

   Now, as we tend to do when we bulk record in person, we did not record a rolled after each episode, rather we did 2 big ones at the end of each in person recording session. We didn't think this one through as we've now realized that we will be missing quite a lot of content for the $10 tier while The Suckening is uploading. We want to make this up to you all some how, but are unsure what we can offer at the moment. If you have any ideas of things we can put in the place of the Rolled for The Suckening, let us know! We would love your input. Otherwise we will figure out something to take it's place in the meantime.
