Otterly Delectable (wip)

Oops! I had my partner staying with me for the past 2 weeks and while I outwardly said "Im going to have some days where I do work" it turns out the allure of having extended time with your partner really eats into your motivation to do anything but give them affection and food

But they've been shipped off and its time I catch up on work while making good on my promise to upload wip's as they're done rather than in batches.

Since these are wip's Im thinking i'll use the descriptions here to be like "ooh this is what I wanna change" / some notes to give a little extra insight into the electric chicken in my head. If you find these interesting lemme know here or through my discord so I know to keep doing 'em! That and I love to talk shop with people :3

✏️ WIP THOUGHTS ✏️

-I like the collar around the gut idea! It was impromptu and more creative / easier to draw than hand squishing.

-However, flip's collar being on the tail sort of eats into the space where the Ott's hand goes with the leash. I'm not perfectly pleased but I have to go "good enough to pass" instead of chasing perfection

-I might wanna redraw the gut shape, I've been anxious to change it cause I really like flip's pose inside and theyre directly tied together, but changing the gut should help sell the perspective I want better. I think its holding me back

-Likewise the tail shape isnt perfect, it's supposed to be coming forward from under them, and curling up right infront of the camera then back towards the ott. It *works* but Its also not perfect.

-Sidenote, I know I draw it, but, I kind of suck at guts. I have *no* idea what im doing I just kind of throw my intuition at it t il something clicks right

-With these sketch tier comms I'm trying to push for trickier poses / perspectives to get used to them- but I think I might be hurting myself and taking far too long with getting them *right*
I should just do some anatomy / perspective practices that aren't tied to being a paid for ccomm

-I dont like how many times I use this legs open position for pred's, but when I want to make sure the good stuff is visible I feel like i've exhausted a lot of the common angles over the past years. My next wip is gonna try to do something a bit different

-I like the internal a lot, i'm very happy with where my style has settled for them recently! I need to try finding more unique poses though. More of me telling myself to stop shooting for perfect

-Dialogue is gonna get redone, I just needed *something* to show where it'll be. Going off what the commissioner wanted, I'll be shooting for something a bit meaner on them
