For Stereo's Yenko Stinger.
Few cars have suffered a worse undeserved reputation than the Chevrolet Corvair. Despite the rear engine layout being supported by a thorough suspension setup, the car was slammed for being dangerous and having a tendency to roll over. Claims that went unsupported, spread all over the car media world at the time.
Don Yenko knew this wasn't the case however, and proceeded to tune and prepare Corvairs for racing. What came out was the Yenko Stinger, a very potent sports car which racked up several wins and class wins in endurance races and SCCA events. Sadly, it was all too little too late.
Two Yenko Stingers were entered in the 1966 Sebring 12 Hours, both of them failing to finish. As this car was driven by "Think Pink" Donna Mae Mims, I included a pink helmet to honor a female racing driver trailblazer.
