The Crossroads
In chapter 7 of the Book of Ba'el series, Ba'el is trapped by the Plague Doctor. Now we discover why he kept her in his village of death and despair. Together, they are able to make the elixir that will save the townsfolk in this strange village. This elixir is not a potion from a bottle, however, it's made from deep inside of them and Ba'el is the only one who can distribute the life force after it's been concocted... In her time there, Ba'el meets a particularly gruesome prisoner. He offers her help out of this wretched place if she will release him from his cage. Will she help this corpse man and be free from this new bondage? Find out her fate in Book 8, The Crossroads.
