Hello everyone,

IOS Apple and extra fee

Apple is requiring Patreon to move over to Apple's in-app purchase system in order for the Patreon app to remain available in the App Store.

If you subscribe through the ios Apple Store, there will be an additional will be a 30% fee attached to the tier price. Creators (such as myself) won't receive anything extra, it goes to Apple.

To avoid these charges, I would recommend using the website directly once these new changes are in place.

If you pledge through the IOS Patreon App, this won't affect you.
The App Store fee does not apply to existing memberships and memberships made on other platforms.

Subscription Billing

Also due to changes within Patreon all creators are being gradually moved over to 'subscription' based billing. This means new members will be charged on the date they subscribed each month rather than the 1st. Existing members will still be charged on the 1st as normal.
