Hey Critical Crew!
April returns us to the vast reaches of the Hollow Expanse - first introduced back in July of 2022. Floating domed citadels surrounded by asteroid fields; merchant ships and pirate ships alike cruising through the cosmic calm; deadly creatures lurking in the infinite void looking for their next meal... Jump into the cockpit of your favorite zoan kestrel or expanse freighter and take to the stars!

This month brings our latest STL for our Apprentice and Loremaster tiers - the Expanse Raider! This STL file comes presupported by our good friends at TableFlip Foundry.
**NOTE - STL's are NOT backlogged, so be sure to download it locally this month!**
Encounters
We've got 5 brand new encounters of varying challenge ratings and settings -ready to drop right into your existing campaigns, or can just as easily be used as a springboard into a new adventure.
Take you players right into the grips of terror and madness as they: investigate the case of a woman's missing husband who was last seen visiting the family crypt; look into a a strange statue that a local carpenter claims was inspired by a dream; and cross paths with a towering monster in a lake, while trying to talk you way out of certain death!
Stat Blocks
You get 3 brand new monster stat blocks of various challenge ratings and 3 brand new ships for traversing the Hollow Expanse!
Show your table the dangers of the stars with creatures like the behemoth-like Expanse Kraken and the sci-fi terror Binge Grafter, or Vatling. And give your players the perfect means of transportation with the Dreadspine and Expanse Freighter ships.
Items
We've also got our 6 latest items, paired with our 2 latest grafts and 3 new ship upgrades to modify your vessel! Check out the Hardlight Blade and Plasma Grenade, and the Energy Cannon Arm and Booster Feet!
Spells
April also brings you our 6 latest magic spells and 3 latest warps - a new game mechanic that allows the use of arcanhile and other technological means to literally warp reality, allowing them to pull off spell-like feats without the use of magic.
Player Options
And by now you should know that a Critical Crafting release wouldn't be the same without player options, so we've got you covered there!
Back in February's "The Edge of Nowhere" release, we debuted our latest full player class, the gunslinging Renegade (with five total subclasses that month!) For April, we're bringing you another Renegade subclass - the Expanse Raider.
Expanse Raiders prefer the journeys and adventures among stars to a simple life collecting bounties or hunting prey in The Edge of Nowhere, or anywhere else on the Material Plane. Whether they choose to board a zoan ship with a crew, or a more solitary living of smuggling and piracy, an expanse raider is not one to squander their life away. Piloting ships, engaging in ship-to-ship combat, stowing away on a pirate vessel, or exploring the boundless beyond of The Hollow Expanse, an Expanse Raider craves adventure. No matter the life they choose to lead, it is sure to be one full of thrill and excitement.
We also have our latest player race - the Cavae - a mysterious race of nomadic Humanoids that wander through The Hollow Expanse in a seemingly leisurely manner. Created from the mass of dying stars, little is known about the cavae and their motivations.
Maps
We've also got 3 new scifi- and space-themed battle maps ready for the included encounters (or just as easily used as standalone maps). These maps are available in both gridded and gridless variants and some also include interior and exterior versions.
Tokens
And lastly, we are bringing you 7 VTT-ready tokens for all of your online needs!

May's release will be introducing a two new factions stemming from The Mages' War - a group of refugees who fled to pocket universe and created an idyllic fresh start for themselves; and a group of zealot rebels who are planning on returning to reclaim their ancestral home, declaring war on the Blank and the Arcanuum alike. Until then, take to the stars!
