Gugs are horrifying monsters with a vertical mouths filled with razor-sharp teeth, additional mouths formed by bifurcated arms, and a frighteningly high level of intelligence for creatures that appear so bestial, most gugs only slightly less intelligent than your average human. Gugs live in small communities or roam alone through the darkened depths of the caverns and forgotten cities far beneath the ground, dwelling in ancient halls none wish to venture to. Long ago, gugs attempted to rise up against The Dreamer, as punishment for their insolence, The Dreamer cursed the gugs, bestowing upon them a sensitivity to any form of light and banishing them to the dark reaches beneath the earth of Ashiogdd’lin. Any gug spotted on the surface is marked for death, and the many creatures spawned by the dreamings of The Dreamer move to slay such a gug.
