We've got your midweek check in and we're showcasing the upcoming player race for October's release (that drops next week!) Just in time for Spooky Season, check out the spiderfolk of our setting- the Arachniddi!

Here's an except from their lore, that Dillon wrote...

Arachniddi are a race of spider-like creatures living both above and below the ground. This race is commonly associated with drow, though in fact, they have no connection to the dark elves. Arachniddi are thought to originally have been native to the plane of Perjus, an outsider plane of deception, death, and misery. Some believe the arachniddi came to the Material Plane to conquer it, others to explore it, and still others that they simply wished to escape the horrid plane they once called home. In truth… all are correct, with the arachniddi that ventured out of Perjus thousands of years prior coming for a multitude of their own purposes. Amongst the arachniddi, there is rarely a unified front.

Fleshy Disguise. As a bonus action, you can grow flesh on your arachnid-like face and chitinous body that makes you appear as though you are of any Humanoid race the same size as you of your choice. You can remove the disguise as a bonus action, tearing the false flesh away. Your arachnid-like legs are not covered in this disguising flesh, but are able to retract into your body as part of this bonus action, melding with your flesh. This effect is not magical but physical.
