Bone hags are creatures obsessed with bone. These hags collect bones and usually construct elaborate huts from their findings, as well as wear bones adorning their clothing, and jewelry. Most possess a skull that they wear as a mask at all times, hiding hideously withered faces beneath. A bone hag is often accompanied by the sounds of rattling bones, the hags hanging bones in strange ritualistic ornaments hung from trees around their lairs, and children are warned to move away from such noises heard in the woods.
