Time for your mid-week check in, and for WIPWednesday we're showing off another creature for next month - the Sporegrazer! Check out the statblock excerpt below, and let us know in the comments how you want to use these creatures
...Sporegrazers are creatures that form when a beast eats the sporeform mushrooms growing in and around Edyn and The Dark Below. When a creature consumes the mushroom, it slowly changes, its body sprouting additional mushrooms and spores as it grows to a massive size. The beast usually becomes a peaceful creature that grazes not only on lichen and other sparse vegetation growing in subterranean tunnels, but additional fungus, the creature becoming more and more fungal as it ages...
...While the creation and reproduction of sporegrazers is considered unpleasant by most, the creatures can make excellent pets, work horses, or methods of transport. In the city of Edyn Edynites regularly use sporegrazers to plow fields beneath their artificial sun, carry supplies from one satellite outpost to another, or serve as gentle giants whose size helps ward off potential predators that might prey upon children or that can use their spores to charm enemies. Their peaceful and compliant nature makes sporegrazers excellent pets, so long as they are kept away from other pets that might wish to eat the fungus growing on them, but then… one would have two sporegrazers as opposed to one...
