Hey Critical Crew!

We've had a busy week on our end and wanted to share some cool updates:

• We had several art pieces coming in this week (several for October and November) one of which was the finalized Sporegrove (seen above as the cover image of this post done by Dzjelka) and the Calcinor too. Dian, the artist, did an excellent job on the detailing of the crystallized body!

• Dillon made some final revisions to the statblocks for this month, and the Torpid Dragon turned out especially badass! Check out the excerpt below from that statblock of these gluttonous behemoths:

Claustrophobic Presence. The dragon swells, taking up as much room in the cramped space of its lair as possible. Each creature within the lair that can see or is touching the dragon must succeed on a DC 23 Wisdom saving throw or become overwhelmed by a sense of claustrophobia, becoming frightened and using all its movement to try to reach the most open space available until the next initiative count 20.

Waft Stench. The dragon wafts the stench of half-rotten food mixed with its body odor through its lair, flapping its vestigial wings and belching to spread the stench. Each creature within 30 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 23 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned until the next initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties).

THe 3d sculpt is in progress! (tell me you can't wait to to get this big boi on your 3d printer)

• Cameron, Connor, and Christian put the final touches on the rest of the player options, getting some excellent feedback from the Hivemind peeps in discord. Sigils, items, spells, and player race are now completely done too. 

Speaking of player race, has anyone seen a cooler subterranean race than our upcoming Cristata?? 

• Cameron has also been plugging away at the maps for Dillon's encounters. Check out this one from the upcoming Sporegrove encounter

• Dillon also made some super cool progress on the lore and details of Edyn, better fleshing out what they've been up to over the past handful of generations. Check out this snippet from the InDesign spread for a sneak peek:

• And lastly, Christian has been working tirelessly to help expand our online presence. As our "GenZ representative" (the unofficial title that he hates lol) he has been putting the focus on growing our TikTok brand.
