August leaves the mystical lands of the Yokai and bring us back to the dark, urban streets of Calydon. First introduced in our February 2022 "Her Heart Beats For You" adventure, we find Calydon's squeaky-clean, idyllic exterior hiding corruption and addiction as various gangs and factions compete for the upper hand in the drug trade. Enter into the city's walls, but who can will you side with and trust, in a city where everyone is ready to betray for the highest bidder?

This month brings our latest STL's for our Apprentice and Loremaster tiers - the Rat King! This stl file come presupported by TableFlip Foundry.

We've got 5 brand new encounters of varying challenge ratings and setting -ready to drop right into your existing campaigns, or can just as easily be used as a springboard into a new adventure.

Cross paths in a dark alley with a shady Dealer as she makes you a deal you cannot refuse; fend for your safety as you get accosted by a group of Euphors; or explore the sewer systems to help a local shopkeep and figure out whats making the noises in his walls!

You get 5 brand new stat blocks of various challenge ratings, centered around the urban city of Calydon, as well as our latest monster template - the Euphor. Euphors are humanoids that have taken recreational drug use to a new level - developing methods of avoiding the negative effects of drugs, usually grafting devices to their bodies specifically created to allow them to take a vast array of substances with minimal side effects.

Check out our latest creations like: the Rat King -  a hulking beast that uses the sewer system to venture throughout the city, looking for its next meal; using the rats on its back as its eyes and ears; the Vermillion Order Bloodletter - soldiers of the Vermillion Order, who commonly screen new initiates to determine their dedication to the order, and root out those that might believe the Vermillion Order is actually one of true aid; and our latest dragon, the Blood Dragon - disgusting creatures created by the horrid experimentations of blood hags conducted on ordinary dragon wyrmlings. These poor baby dragons are terribly mutilated, their skin flayed, bodies connected to magical and mechanical devices that drain and augment their blood, and horrid rites practiced over them, resulting in creatures of despair!

We've also got 13 new items and 5 new grafts to reward your players with as they explore these mysterious lands. Check out items like Euphor Pump, used to help inject and circulate one of our nine new drugs into your system, granting new features and abilities with various costs and withdrawal symptoms.

July also brings our latest 9 magic spells further expanding our blood magic subschool of necromancy. Check out spells like: Hemophilia, Blood Worms, Anemia, and Blood Pact!

And what kind of Critical Crafting release would this be without new player options?! Check out our latest player race, the Mouseling - small, but mighty mousefolk who seek ways to side with the underdog, and long for their name going down into the annals of history!

You'll also get our latest ranger subclass - the Street Rat conclave! These rangers favor the hustle and bustle of city life, and are as familiar with the shady back alleys and the seedy underbellies of the city as they are with the frivolous galas and receptions of aristocrats and nobles. Usually living morally ambiguous lives, operating off mantras such as “steal from the rich to give to the poor”, or “all for one, one for all” these rangers live in the gray as much as they live in the shadows.

And be sure to check out our 5 new feats and 3 new deficiencies to help flesh out your player characters.

And lastly, we've got 5 new battle maps ready for the included encounters (or just as easily used as standalone maps). Maps like - a dark townsquare, a crumbled sewer littered with blood and viscera, and a cavern with corpses a strewn.
