We've got a mid-week update on one of August's upcoming "Gangs of Calydon" creatures. Check out the Blood Dragon!
Blood dragons are disgusting creatures created by the horrid experimentations of blood hags conducted on ordinary dragon wyrmlings. These poor baby dragons are terribly mutilated, their skin flayed, bodies connected to magical and mechanical devices that drain and augment their blood, and horrid rites practiced over them, until eventually… after much torment, a blood dragon is formed. Blood dragons have a strange hoard among dragons. Instead of collecting things that are valuable, beautiful, or magical, they focus on collecting things that are broken, deplorable, or corrupted. A blood dragon’s lair might be comprised of a “collection” of euphors or drug addicts, ruined items, or cursed and mutilated creatures or belongings.
