Voronica Goes to Town 0.4.5 details

It’s June’s update is here today! It’s quite early this time. As a reminder updates are on the second to last Tuesday of each month, so as July itself is starting on a Tuesday we’re landing slap band in the middle of June this time.
I mentioned in a few places that I was planning to put the Jeff dates in this update. Alas that was not to be. Some renders failed and cost me an eight hour block of rendering time which I was counting on to have all of the assets ready in time for me to assemble the build.
So, instead that will be for next month and this month we’re completing the uptown predations with four new scenes for Voronica’s window-washing job. These include a couple having a not so private moment, a hand-glider who isn’t soaring quite as high above everyone as she thinks, a voyeur who should be watching his own back, and failed investor who Voronica helps make one final call.
That one has an extra little animation if you fail to catch him, so you may like to check it out deliberately if you’re already a whiz at that mini-game.
I used the time that I would have spent putting together the Jeff dates to undertake a round of image and video compression. So that should now be within somewhat more reasonable limits.

Yeah, it wasn't my preference but it just didn't work out. That said, by my estimation this is actually the last non-plot content intended the game, so it won't happen again!

2025-06-17 11:13:32 +0000 UTCit's a bit disappointing to not have a plot/character update this time, but the other stuff is good. And I really liked the Tiff stuff in the previous update, so maybe that can count for 2 months.
