Status update

It's been a bit since my last post. Since then, I did manage to bug Patreon into finally giving me my money, but I didn't get around to updating this page here to say that. But it's all good, at the moment. (Let's see what happens with the payout early next month, though.)

As for where we are now, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that my work schedule is still really, really bloated. I've got quite a lot of contracts I need to fulfill, and I intend to do so. This patreon page, and all those of you who are generous enough to contribute even a single dollar, give me the breathing room to not have to stress as much about the size of my backlog, but still, those folks have hired me and it wouldn't be cool for me to just ignore them.

But I am making progress on the work pile, piece by piece, the same way I'm slowly chipping away at Lacey here. And, that's not all I'm chipping away at. I'm still very steadily making progress with my original writing project, which I've discussed often in my discord server, complete with some sample chapters and bits of prose. (Shameless self-promotion let's goooooo.)

And the reason I bring this up is because once Lacey is finished and out the door, I intend to convert this patreon page to focus on that writing project, because that's something that I'm truly passionate about, and something that I think, and hope, will be meaningful to the rest of you, as well. I have to imagine that most of you here actually enjoy my mods and the writing therein, and it's an objective fact that my prose is better than my GECK scripting. (That's not a boast about my writing. Rather, it's a scathing condemnation of my terrible, terrible GECK "abilities.")

I'm not making this post private to backers only, because there are plenty of people who are curious about this mod, but who aren't in a position to pledge any money to me, and I 100% get that. If you're unable or unwilling to support me financially, that's all good, and there are no hard feelings. All I ask is that you consider continuing to support my body of work, monetarily or otherwise, even when that work evolves past the framework of a janky RPG that came out over a decade ago.

Anyway, I wish you all a pleasant day, and go watch Frieren.
