No More Mods on the Nexus.

If, somehow, you folks like my content enough to financially support me, but you've also missed what's been happening in the modding sphere lately, well... The short version is that Nexus mods is run by lying exploitative cowards. They've revoked mod authors rights to delete our own files in preparation for some "mod pack" scheme that would line their pockets, and claimed they would "love" to have feedback from us about it.

They then spent several days completely ignoring all feedback. When I made a public post explaining what they were doing and why I, and several other mod authors, had serious ethical issues with it. Nexus staff removed the announcement and claimed I was "spreading misinformation."

I provided screenshots that verified the truth of everything I said, and they banned me from ever posting images again, and declared that they would terminate my account if I ever say anything about them again on their site. They have a site rule prohibiting anyone from criticizing the nexus staff. Seriously. That's the level of cowardice we're dealing with here.

Perhaps needless to say, I'm not going to continue to provide content to a site that behaves in such a repulsive manner. At this point, I'm unsure if I'm going to make any more FNV mods, as this hasn't exactly been conducive to my passion for the hobby. If I decide that retirement suits me, I will publicly release my story outline for how my mod series narrative was going to end, and host an AMA-type thing in my discord. On the other hand, if I do continue to release mods in the future, they will not be hosted on Nexus. ModDB and GUN network seem like the obvious alternatives, but that's getting a bit ahead of ourselves.

The important thing is that, no matter which direction I end up going with this thing, don't expect any mod content from me in the near future. Even before all this bullshit, I was taking a break from Fallout to play other games and work on other (original) projects. If, knowing everything I have said, you still wish to support me on Patreon, I am extremely grateful for your generosity. But, as I am almost certainly not going to have any release out for the rest of the year, at the very least, I would completely understand if you wish to back out of the Patreon commitment.
