Secret Care Cafe 0.8.40 - release notes and download

Hey there!

Today I bring you 3 new events and a bunch of bug fixes. Cookie nsfw event, Main story progress (long), finally going to the club they were talking about before and Ame and Cookie chat talk. All important pushing forward the plots.

Did I hear someone say "More problems' '? Yes sirs! Outside of crashing, that should be fixed in this month's update to the engine, there apparently is a limit to how many objects GMS2 + Visual Studio (two engines working together to create a build of the game) can create. Based on my bug report to the devs, they responded that I should lower the number of objects (and scripts) I have in game and this should fix the problems with creating builds. They also proposed another solution, but that didn't work so that's out. I started doing consolidation of objects this week cuz I was unable to create a build, but it's something I'll need to fix in the next update. I was consolidating all story objects into one object with long code, which is apparently way better. I thought it would be way easier than it was, but at least I figured it out and now just the most boring part, copy, paste, update, check and pray.

Also, there isn't today a patch to the previous version of the game, as there were a lot of changes inside the code that moved some textures around so the patch won't work this time without a lot of texture errors, so I didn't bother making it.

Sorry if my English is barely understandable, I'm writing it with one eye open, cuz I'm dying from stressing over this build.

At least I love how the art looks, and how the story expands now. I won't be touching blender or unreal before next update so I can fix it. Good thing is that fixing this problem, will also optimize a game in theory, it's like this saying, scoring two breasts with one dong.

Secret Care Cafe release notes ver 0.8.40:

- added 3 new events (important chat event with Cookie and Sergil (nsfw), chat event between Ame and cookie, main event)

- one new song added to main event

- fixing events and scripts to lower their amount (tldr; amount influences the build creation)

- fixed crashes under specific conditions during 3rd boss fight

- fixed crashing when you wanted to get back to title screen during 3rd boss fight

- fixed crashing in Cookie x Big Client event if you scrolled back after specific moment

- fixed right clicking on business client during gameplay sometimes having weird effect

- fixed error with one of the fonts

- fixed cookie not responding fast enough to move requests in Anastasia latest event

- fixed bug that made wedlock couple not spawn (thank you Miya!)

- fixed bug in Cookie's first seggs scene that weirdly reacted to not seggsins her (understandably)

- fixed few spelling mistakes

Download instructions:

• For those using the segmented downloads, you need to download all files ending with Patreon.7z. In this case, part 1, part 2, part 3 and part 4. Extract all files in one folder then you can play the game by double-clicking the .exe file.

• Other external links (Google Drive, Mega, etc) have the game  in one package file. Use any Zip program (7zip or WinRAR) to extract the files then you  can play the game by double-clicking the .exe file.

• If you have the previous version, you can download JUST the update file. Just extract or copy-paste the files of the update   into the game folder with the previous version. Remember to click "yes" when asked to replace files with the same name. Also, please double check your game's version number and update version file. Otherwise, you will have visual bugs and will have to redownload the game completely.

• If you are having graphical issues or some scenes don't load, download the full version of the game and not the update alone.
