2025-03-02 08:58:35 +0000 UTCAnother fun fact about the map, the author of the books played around with a map of Britain to create Westeros. The gigantic Wall at the beginning is akin to Hadrians Wall (though a MUCH larger version!) that the Romans built to divide England and Scotland.

One word of warning, if you’re releasing the YouTube cuts quickly after the Patreon cuts, please get a YouTube comment moderator or just don’t read the comments. Unfortunately there are too many people out there who for whatever reason want to spoil others experiences of watching the show. And also don’t Google anything! You might want to know the name of an actor and get a 3 season storyline arc spoiled by accident in the process! That said, glad to be on board for this journey!

2025-03-02 08:04:17 +0000 UTCLoved the reaction! I did warn you guys on the YouTube channel about how brutal and sexually graphic this show is. But it is worth the watch. This is one of the best tv series ever made. This first few episodes they have to take time to let you learn who everyone is and what they are fighting for. So it may seem to drag a little bit until you get to mid season but then the story picks up a lot. Looking forward to watching it with you.

2025-03-02 04:18:28 +0000 UTCYoy guys observed that many of the scenes were quite shocking/disturbing, BUT that they left you wanting to know more about the story. . . the narative sucks you in, even if it is (in your words,) quite grim. As the tale unfolds, all these grim scenes sort of take on a sense of "to be expected" if not normal. The story becomes more and more absorbing to the point that you no longer notice the nudity and sex, or the brutality and death. In the end, it really makes you wonder how much we can all learn to accept as ordinary or "normal."
