Choas: Bonus round

I wasn't sure how to get this post started, everything sounded so glib.

My uncle who is in his mid 60s, had a sudden, unexplained deterioration. It's not related to COVID, though that is complicating the situation, starting with the fact that his mother - my grandmother - has been kept effectively isolated because of the pandemic, so she's been going stir crazy for more than a month now (she got so stressed she almost called for an Uber to take her from Milwaukee to the Fox Valley, about a ninety minute one way trip, to visit her family). So we're worried not only because he's unlikely to survive the weekend, but also that it might be too much for her to take right now.

So needless to say, things are fluid here; I've been doing a little, but I've found it's easier to perform than it is to write right now (I think Escaflowne 20 will be funnier than 21; having a chance to do my Elvis Presley is probably the best I've felt in the last few days). What hurt (as far as the show goes) is that I had shifted my vacation day from Monday to Wednesday, not realizing that Thursday and Friday would be compromised like this. So, I'm going to be prioritizing what I work on, but tentatively plan is that the next two episodes of Escaflowne will be done today or tomorrow, but no new Trek review or Eugenics Chapter this week. I'll be filling the hole in the public release schedule with The Trouble With Edward.

Bounty Hunter 3 for Officers and Dragons of Autumn Twilight 2 should still be ready this month, as they are both things I can squeeze in, the former something I can do here and there, the latter something I can work on during the inevitable trip for the funeral (it'll take my mind off things). 

The one comfort that all of us share this week is, no matter how bad things are or how badly we might have screwed up, at least none of us caused our city to be set on fire. :-)
