However, I feel this movie "The Fly" (1986), is so well done that it is an exception to my happy ending rule. The movie wastes no time getting into the story, and every scene adds to the narrative, building to that ferocious climax. Geena Davis (Veronica) and Jeff Goldblum (Seth) give Oscar-worthy performances, and the Make Up Effects actually won the Oscar that year. Kemi, I'm sorry that parts of the film made you feel ill, but I actually think you held up very well. You kept your eyes on the screen through most of the body horror. In "The Fly II" (1989), we learn that Veronica does have the baby, and the movie tells the story of what happens to the offspring. Kemi, thank you so much for your reaction. It has been a long time since I've seen the film, but I really enjoyed watching it again with you. Did I tell you that I recently met Geena Davis at a convention?
