Not sure, they said they wanted to do what starting with Plasma 6, but they've said since then that they'll only adopt this release schedule when Plasma is stable enough, so I'm not sure!

The Linux Experiment

I remember when both KDE and Gnome first came out. For a long time I was a Gnome user, but KDE really became great once Plasma 5 came out, and it has become my favorite of the two by a good margin. Being a Fedora user, I was pushing for this to happen and happy it not only passed, but was unanimous. KDE has come such a long way since the bad old days of version 4. For me, it and Gnome really are the premiere desktops for the Linux world and KDE deserves its place at the top with Gnome on Fedora.

Despite being older, I absolutely hate desktop icons. But, yeah, this is something that needs to be fixed for those that like messy desktops πŸ˜‰

Very cool to see Fedora KDE become official. Nick, do you have any info whether Plasma will follow Gnome's release cadence of a new version every 6 months?
