In this one, we only have one single big topic: PlaytronOS, the gamling focused OS based on Fedora Siulverblue, announced in March. It just got its alpha, some interesting investors, and they hired the main developer of Lutris, who clarified a bunch of issues and sticking points people had with that project.

Yeah, the goal is likely to take a small cut of hardware sales from partners, or selling them the OS and support for it

2024-09-10 10:20:51 +0000 UTCI seriously wonder how Playtron is going to monetize their product because if they have investors, they'll have to satisfy them sooner or later. Will they partner with device manufacturers? Because without selling hardware with Playtron installed I can't see them becoming profitable.
