Vote on December's Topics!

Hey everyone!

It's time to vote on the topics I'll cover in December!

So, first, the things I will definitely do:

- Linux News: we'll have 5 of these in December, on the 3rd, the 10h, the 17h, the 23rd and the 30th, plus their accompanying podcasts
- Slimbook Elemental: I'll review these 2 new laptops from Slimbook, there are 2 sizes, 14 and 15.6 inches, and they are pretty affordable, so it will be interesting to look at!

- Proton CEO Interview: I'll spend an hour and a half with the CEO of Proton, asking as many questions from the community as we can fit!

And for what you can vote on:

- Open Source and Money: a complicated relationship: a look at funding issues for open source projects, and some success stories

- The Linux distro I recommend for beginners in 2024: trying to define THE Linux distro I would recommend for people starting with Linux in 2024

- Modern Linux on an old desktop: installing a recent Linux distro (or maybe multiple ones) on a pretty old desktop (something like 4th gen intel CPU)

- Good resources to learn about Linux: a look at where to look to learn things about Linux, whether it's the command line, using a desktop, installing a distro, and the like (no, it won't just be "subscribe to my channel" :D )

Vote for the ones you want to see, and I'll work on the 2 with the most votes!

@Nick I have an interesting new about open source and money https://www.androidauthority.com/simple-mobile-tools-aquisition-3391041/ Simple app dev sell all GPL Simple app to another company. The code seems to not be made by just them, there are also others contributors. Sad news

Justin

I probably will still make this one, in January: it doesn't really appeal to long term subscribers and supporters, but it would probably be useful for newcomers!

The Linux Experiment

Looks like the New User Distro is trailing. I hope you consider it at some point. I'm working an a workshop on changing from Windows to Linux and some insight on what makes a good distro for new folks.
