Vote on July's Topics!

Hey everyone!

It's time to vote on the topics I'll work on in July!

Of course, you'll get 4 Linux news videos, one each week, and you'll get a review of a new super affordable mini PC running Linux out of the box.

I'll also look at PopOS as a distro, because having used it for a while now, I see the appeal, and I wanted to talk about it.

I'll also look at why Electron apps get so much hate, not just because of the technology, but also because developers that use it tend to no update it very often.

There will also be an updated look at Deepin, as a desktop environment and a distro, and I'll tackle the horrible myth of "Privacy doesn't matter if you have nothing to hide".

I'll also talk about the recent issue with unofficial packages, and try to explain why developers might not want others to package their apps.

And now, you get to choose on the next topics!

I offer 4 choices, and the 2 that get the most votes will be the ones I'll work on!

- Vivaldi browser: taking a look at Vivaldi, all it can do, and why people really, really like it

- Which OS has the best default apps? A look at Windows, Mac OS, GNOME and KDE, to see which one has the best default applications out of the box, without any tweaks

- Things we could do to make Linux better: a look at a few ideas I have on how to make the experience of using Linux better for beginners, and also for advanced users

- A few awesome terminal commands: a look at a few super practical and simple terminal commands that can really help make your workflow a lot faster

So, time to vote :D

Comments

Just because I look at something doesn't mean I'll promote it ;) The goal is more to see why people rave over Vivaldi, and what exactly it does that others don't. As per making Linux better, I think I have a few ideas that haven't been really mentioned before, more like practical solutions instead of "more promotion and more hardware"!

The Linux Experiment

I feel like we have enough ideas around how to make Linux better, have we fixed the "Linux Tech Tips" issues yet? Firefox for the open web, no chromium variants! /rant
