IT'S OFFICIALLY OCTOBER!
Added 2025-10-02 19:11:54 +0000 UTCIdeal Plan for The Special after I overcame a sudden cold:
From October 1 - 7: Character Design, Script writing, Start Storyboarding, Search for VAs.
From October 8 - 14: Finish Storyboarding, Recording starts, Start Animating no dialogue scenes, Background making. I got sick, it's a lost week, I hate it.
From October 15 - 21: By now all dialogue should be all recorded, and put together. If that's the case, I can start cleaning and animating the dialogue parts of the animation. Head turnarounds to get a feel for the characters structure and use them as aid/reference when animating.
From October 22 - 31: I continue animating and editing non stop until it's done. Find a VA and record dialogues, preferably finish the storyboard before the recording starts so the VA has a reference of the events and character expressions. Start animating as soon as the recordings are done. And background art
From October 29 - 31: Preparing for delivery.
November 1 - 15: In case of delays, these 2 days will be a safety net. Keep animating nonstop until I'm done.
Some points to make the challenge possible:
Limited animation. Use less frames, and simpler movement. This changes on important parts... the sexy stuff... more focus on it, dumping all the budget on it.
Lip sync will be anime like... mouth flapping and the occasional "o" mouth shape.
Things will remain in Black and White. After all, this challenge is mainly to test how much I can achieve in a month, but I have to be realistic.
Probably going the South Park route... Just 1 or 2 people voicing the entire thing.
In case of sickness or emergencies, all days I'm not actively working will be added to November, I call it "The Nightmare Before Christmas Extension"
If I'm unavailable more than 2 weeks due to illness, the challenge is off. I'll finish it later... if it extends to one month assume I'm connected to a machine in the hospital... or dead.
