My Favorite CSP Brushes

These are the brushes I use when I draw in Clip Studio Paint. Pic related is a guide on how they work.

_____________ BASE BRUSHES _____________

Deep Pencil & Deep Pen Soft- My choice sketching brushes. Soft Eraser works really well in tangent with them to give the sketches a softer look.

Square Brush- For sketching backgrounds. Square shaped brushes in general are really good for man-made structures. Square Brush Sized is just a sharper alternate.

Opacity WaterColor- The best tool I use for rendering. Sometimes it's even the only brush I use, cause it's really all you need. Keep in mind, it has some blurring properties.

Tail Pen- A modified Deep Pencil, with 2 points on it. I use it to draw tails quickly. I wouldn't recommend it for finished pieces but it's fine for sketches.

Soft Brush and Hard Eraser are just basic spray and eraser brushes. They're really not too different from CSP's default brushes.

_____________TEXTURE BRUSHES _____________

Hair Brush- The best texture brush I have. Obviously I always use it to speed up the process of drawing hair but I've also used it for cross hatching, drawing scratches on people or stones, drawing texture on clothing, drawing fur, drawing fire, drawing speediness, etc. It's my favorite texture brush, I combine it a lot with Opacity W.C.

Other Texture Brushes - The name says it all. These are 4 very specific brushes I use for textures and to speed up the process of drawing specific objects. Plant Brush and Denim Brush are 2 new ones that I haven't used very much. Scale Brush is really just a lazy shortcut for drawing scales. Cloud Brush is very useful for smoke or cloud effects, but that's pretty much it.

_____________ OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS _____________

CSP's default Gouache brushes are great for textures. I especially like the Gouache Blender.

Though I don't use it , CSP's "Design Pencil" can make really nice textury sketches.

_____________ IMPORTANT _____________

Some of these brushes may not work without specific materials. Most of the materials are just CSP default ones, but if the Tail Brush doesn't work for you let me know.

The brushes are all edited to work specifically for my tablet on my Laptop, and may not come out exactly right for you. It's important to edit your brushes to find the right set that works for you, so consider it an opportunity if the brush doesn't feel exactly right. CSP's brush editor is amazing and flexible so learning to make your own brushes with it is a time consuming, but easy and important skill to gain.
