Very erotic and attractive

Guillermo

There's a longing in the eyes, shaded by the cap and he's naked in this field, begging for an excuse to be vulnerable. But his jaw is set, his stance is rigid and guarded. Struggling with the need to remain powerful, rugged, to stand on his own and the desperation to feel wanted and safe. He stands away from his home, he couldn't do this there, covered by heavy clouds in the dark. If only someone could meet him there, open as the field in which he stands.

Cordial

Love the background story, how this is erotic but it's got depth to it. I agree with everyone who says it conveys something, because his face says a lot without a need for any sort of dialogue. I love that this piece came about from a conversation also.

The whole scene communicates so much so well. The pose & physicality of the character, the way he stares at the viewer with a vulnerable longing but at the same time a bravery of defiance. The lights on in the house behind make new think of his responsibilities that hold him in this space but the openness of the landscape gives a sense of freedom. Love this image; excellent work as always!

thank you!! I think it's funny how sometimes the most neutral expression can say the most. I recall hearing about a film director who would tell his actors to give absolutely zero expression, totally neutral faces, during the most intense/emotional scenes. and later they'd be praised for their amazing acting! there's a magic that happens when the audience is allowed to connect the dots, and participate in finding the meaning for themselves, rather than have it all over-explained.

ah man, then you know it well!! and you know these guys (and how scorching hot they often are πŸ˜…)

Celery Man

thanks man πŸ’š we're a bit past this time of year now, but a month ago this is exactly how the landscape felt around here πŸ‚

Celery Man

such a true statement!! I think about that a lot, how we gay guys often value and lust after men who women seem ready to discard - and vice versa, for that matter.

Celery Man

thanks man!! πŸ’š happy you like this one.

Celery Man

thank you sir πŸ’š and I actually love hearing that part of your response was horny lust, because that's what I was hoping for!! and that's wrapped up in my motivations for making this - to give a character like this, who's neglected and overlooked in real life, the erotic spotlight that he does deserve.

Celery Man

Everything you wrote comes through in the expression on his face. You are a gifted artist.

I live up in Rural VT, and I work in mid/north NH all the time, and this is just incredible. I love the guys you find out on these farms. Sorry to hear about your friend, It really is tough to find good male (non-sexual) companionship up here.

A really great image, the color palette is amazing.

Patrick Cavins

There was a line in an Ethan Mordden book: One woman’s trash is another man’s treasure. That’s for sure.

Robert Hackney

Celery, your meaning and intent came across perfectly. A noble effort indeed.

John Anderson

The background of his makes this piece so deep, complicated and melancholic. I wanted to make a cheap joke about how I would give him all the attention he deserves, on my knees to be exact, but it almost feels wrong. It’s a stunning and unusual piece. Beautiful work.
