Update on Issue 10, and other things

Hello valued members.  Before we begin this update, let's take a moment to reiterate how grateful we, the NANCO team are to be able to produce our creative work for people who want to read it.  It's been a pleasure and a privilege few have been able to accomplish let alone for as long as we have.  We love all of you and want to continue to entertain you with our ginger centric craziness.  We work tirelessly on multiple fronts to keep the content you all deserve to see coming as regularly as we can manage.

That said, we've hit a snag on the production of Issue 10 that has been very difficult to overcome.  As we've been letting everyone know, Luigi, our inimitable artist that has largely become synonymous with the NANCO brand, has been going through a major life upheaval.  He's been able to continue producing the remaining pages for issue 10 through it all these past several months, and we've gotten to within a whisker of completion with three pages to go.  Members that have been keeping up with the Patreon exclusive digital should be able to see where we're at, and it's looking dope as hell.

While it's great that we're so close, Luigi has let us know that he's presently struggling with an insurmountable creative block.  He's having trouble making his art do what he wants it to, and whatever he tries, he's unable to work through it.  Brian has been working with him on this for a minute, to find some way to get him into a better headspace, but over the last month we've gotten no closer to finishing the remaining pages for issue 10.

We've been working closely with Luigi's assistant, whose work you've seen before, to take over for Luigi moving forward.  We're loathe to have the final 3 pages be completed by a different artist, however skilled the artist or appealing the art, for internal consistency.  That said, we may need to pull that trigger to complete issue 10.  We'll have a definitive update on that score this week, hopefully.  We apologize for this delay, and we're doing all we can practically hope to in order to fix it and get everyone RAGS issue 10.

The takeaway from this with regard to issue 10 is that we will need to have the next round of forms be centered once more around issue 9.  We wanted to avoid this, and we hoped that if we just gave it a little more time, that issue 10 would be ready.  But we've waited too long already, and so we'll go with another round of issue 9 forms.  If you've gotten everything you want on the forms, message us and we'll work out a replacement in the form of merchandise.

We have brought on a new artist to continue the Hyper Angel Battle Force shorts, specifically Derian Davilla, the shonen specialist who brought us Triple Crown!  We've attached WIP sketches to this message for you to have a look at.  Looking lewd, crude, and hilarious!  Derian's style is a perfect match for HABF and we think his work will elevate the property to where it needs to go.  We'll have this one ready for Christmas.

We've also got the aforementioned Luigi's assistant started on the first short for Mister Lister Sister Fister!  His WIP sketches are looking dope af and are also attached to this message.  Have a look!

Oh, (Columbo voice)  just one more thing.   This year we've also been working full tilt on a novelization for the the first RAGS arc.  That's right, a full blown, full length novel diving into the first 7 issues of the pantsless misadventures of our Red Headed ex-marine.  In addition to the events directly depicted in the comics, we'll dive deeper into the events which led up to the events which vanished Reggie's pants.  This week we'll release an audio preview of the prologue!  Stay tuned for that!

The take away from all of this is, we're sorry issue 10 isn't complete, and we appreciate everyone sticking by us through this process.  It WILL get done, whether by Luigi or his assistant, and we have lots of stuff on the way that we're devoting all of our energies toward getting to you.   Until then, enjoy the WIPs below, and stay tuned for the Novelization preview.
