Apple Fees!
Apple is about to start requiring all transactions in its apps to use it's own payment system. Including the patreon iOS app. This imposes apple's 30% cut.
This means starting in November 2024, anyone that signs up for the patreon through their iPhone will have to pay more. This will not impact existing memberships.
To combat this 30% fee nonesense here's what I would recommend:
Pledge on the web or use the Android/Windows app where the 30% fee doesn't exist.
Optionally:Remove the Patreon iOS app. Don't support Apple.
